14.14 When ATC gives a vector do they want us to fly a compass heading?
From FlightSim
When directed by ATC for a heading.. fly the heading on your DG (Directional Gyro or Heading indicator) one thing new pilots tend to do is make flying more complicated than it really is... and what I say is there is no Air traffic controller that ever died in a plane crash while working his/her position... so therefore let ATC figure out your track... if ATC assigns a heading.. fly that HEADING not course... atc will adjust your heading if they need by assigning new small heading changes to compensate for your ground track... hope that helped... the rule of flying is "K.I.S.S." meaning "Keep It Simple, Stupid!"
