Here's just another suggestion for flying recip engines. I use this in real life as well. Try doing almost a soft field landing. When you're about ready to touch the rwy, add an inch or two of manifold pressure. This will stop a quick descent and let you grease it on the runway. I learned that one from an instructor I had a few years ago, and I've been impressing my friends ever since. Although, there are times you don't want to do it..ie. short field landings! Then who cares how hard you slam it on as long as you don't break anything?
