3.24 If you use the wrong unzip utility your downloaded panels or gauges may not appear!

Q:
IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO USE THE CORRECT VERSIONS OF UNZIP UTILITIES!
A:
The 32-bit version of WinZip must be used when extracting the gauge and panel files or they just will not work. The 16-bit version will not interface properly with the Windows95 configuration.
The 32-bit WinZip can be found in FlightSim.com FS98 Utilities.

Most gauges, and many other panel components, carry Windows 95 "long" filenames.
In other words, their file names are longer that eight characters before the
period and three characters after. This "8.3" limitation was the rule before
Windows 95. Older 16 bit unzip utilities (such as PKUNZIP) do not support
and do not unzip Windows 95 "long" filenames. Mike is correct. This is one of
the most common reasons for problems in installing downloaded panels. There are
several good unzip utilities available. I use Winzip95.
