5.30 Any more hints for flying helicopters in FS98?
From FlightSim
Hi all you Helo-Pilots, I was experimenting with different control settings and I may have run across something that might help in keeping ahead of of the aircraft. That is having more control in hovering, departing and landing. But there again all this may depend on what type of equipment your using, joysticks, rudder peddles and throttles. Myself I am using a CH Force FX stick, Thrustmasters peddles and CH throttle controls.
The Aircraft I have been using is Hueyaa98.zip - Air America UH1 and the FS98helo3.air. Anyway in the control settings area for your joystick you should be able to adjust the sensitivity of the Ailerons, Elevators, Rudders and Throttle settings. Clicks are from left to right.
Ailerons - Null 4 clicks and Sensitivity 6 clicks
Elevator - Null 4 and 6
Rudders - Null 4 and 4
Throttle - Null 5 and 3
Now for Flight Realism , that could be anywhere from 0-10 what ever your preference is , but then again this whole thing is whatever your preference is. Have fun and happy landings. :)
