DOES THE AUTO COORDINATION FEATURE IN FS98 ACTUALLY WORK, EVEN THOUGH THE RUDDER MOVEMENT INDICATOR IS MOVING?

Unlike in previous versions, the little indicator only shows what YOU are moving. You'll see the indicator move on the ground IF you use the rudders for steering while in auto-coord. Rudder has no effect in the air with auto-coord on. FS98 doesn't steer as well on the ground, unfortunately.

You can check for yourself whether auto-coord is working by watching the ball while in flight. The bottom portion of the turn coordinator has a little ball that is in a fluid-filled glass tube. If you rapidly apply aileron with auto-coord off and no rudder applied, the ball should move well to the side, especially in the light aircraft (it will be less apparent in many jets). If you watch the nose when applying the aileron, you'll also notice it swinging side to side a bit if you apply aileron in one direction, then the other. Then try the same thing with auto-coord turned on and see the difference.
