5.44 A tip for setting out on each leg of a trip touring new scenery.
From FlightSim
When touring new scenery, by flying around from airport to airport, here is a fast way of setting out on each leg of the trip.
At your starting airport, input all your flying parameters such as plane, scenery densities etc, and take off. When you arrive at the first destination airport, taxi to the ramp and turn the engine off, change to spot plane view for more interest, then hit " ; " and save this situation, naming it "trip". When you exit flight simulator, go to the "pilots" folder, find the "trip" file and create a shortcut icon for "trip" on the desktop.
Next day or whenever you want to do the next leg, click on the "trip" icon, and
when loaded, start the engines, taxi to the runway, take off and fly to the next airport where you follow the same procedure, overwriting the previous "trip" situation. And so on for each destination airport. This procedure allows you to directly reload your flight without going through all the flight simulator menus to continue the trip.
You get interrupted on a trip? – press "p" for pause, then press " ; " and save as "enroute". Again create a short-cut icon for " enroute" on your desktop, which allows you to again directly reactivate your flight. Just make sure you check your throttle setting when the aircraft comes to life.

An easier way, and one I use all the time, is to find the flight called
"Previous Flight" in the list of flights. It is created automatically each time
you shut the program down normally. Check the box that says "Make this the
default flight" and from then on the system will always start where you left
it. No separate icons or saving flights, the system does it all.
