6.10 Are there any maps available for FS98?

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF MAPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR FS98? IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO PRINT OUT A MAP OF CERTAIN SCENERY AREAS.

A:

The closest I've come to it, disregarding the "real" sectional charts, is the NAV 1.8 program. You can build load lists of .bgl files and when you load them it shows all of the navigational features, VORs, NDBs ILSs and airports on a somewhat sketchy map outline of the world. This can be zoomed down to any local area you choose and printed out. It won't show landmarks, except shorelines, or obstacles like mountains, but you can find those as you fly.
