HOW DOES LLADD.EXE WORK?

A:

You do not run LLADD.exe as you would other executable files from windows. Without the command line parameters it runs and closes. Which is why the box opens and closes quickly. Below is the proper way to run it from a prompt.

Step 1: Copy the appropriate MDL file to the LLADD directory.
2: Choose the appropriate .ll file for the plane in question.
3: Drop to the command prompt and go to the lladd directory.
Lets assume that your lladd directory is one level from the root
directory. That would make the prompt look like this:

		C:\LLADD>

4: After the prompt type: LLADD example.MDL example2.LL
The whole line would look like this:

		c:\lladd>LLADD example.MDL example2.LL

5: Press enter and you will receive a confirmation message or an error
        explanation.
     6: Now copy the files
	    example.MDL
	    example2.LL
	    example.MD$
to the model folder of the aircraft. The file "example.MD$" is a
backup of the original MDL file in case you need to restore it in
the future. You will be prompted to overwrite the existing MDL file.
This is ok as long as you save the MD$ copy.

7: Rename example2.ll to the same prefix as the MDL file. i.e. If the
model was called "b-747.MDL" then you would rename "example2.LL" to
	  "b-747.LL" .

Regarding the windows front end for this I am still trying to figure out what the problem is. I have a couple of ideas, but I'll wait until I know for sure.
