9.3 Why is the panel visible in the left, right and rear views?

DOES ANYONE KNOW A TWEAK OR SETTING SO THE PANEL ISN'T VISIBLE WHEN I LOOK LEFT, RIGHT, AND REAR VIEWS? 

A:

In the view menu, there's a line about "auto-full screen". Check it and all but the forward view will be full screen.
