Am I going to kill my load times and framerates in FSX by loading addon's like FSGenesis Terrian?

I feel really nervous about all new FSX improvement addons: FSX hardly runs with its default stuff set to 50%, adding any extra improvements may bring the sim to an unusable state - so I think.
If it normally takes half a day to go to a new airport from the airport menu, then how long does it take to load the situation with FSGen terrain installed also, how greatly will it effect the frame rate?

As usual with FSX, it all depends on your pc. I have a pretty mid range pc. AMD 64X2 Dual, 4600+, 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM and a ATI X800 video card. When I installed FSGenesis Terrain, I didn't see any difference in load times. It takes a ton a time to install all of the terrains but in the end it was well worth it. Do a search here on this forum for FSGenesis. It has been pretty well discussed but in the end, I think you'll be happy with your purchase.

Also, mesh really doesn't affect FSX performance too much, autogen, bloom (pre DX10 SP2) and the like are more the FPS killers...
The load time is slightly increased but not much...
You shouldn't have too man problems with load times, the main thing that can slow down load times is terrain detail radius...
