I'm having trouble starting the engines in Realistic Mode!

I'm having trouble starting the jet engines in Fs2000 I can autostart with Ctrl E but when set to realistic mode I cant manualy start and keep them running 

A:

Activate the throttle panel, press E + 1 and J + 1, now you have selected engine no. one, then press + and hold it down, keep it down ! Now the pressurized air is going trough the engine wait until N2 stabilized around 20 % then move your mouse down to the fuel switch below the throttles and open for the fuel. Then the engine should spin up, like in the real world ! Copy this for engine no. 2
