Some of my Aircraft is sitting on it's body, with the wheels melted in the rwy!
From FlightSim
Q:
some of my aircraft look like they are sitting on body when on the runway. Looks like the landing gear is imbedded in the scenery somehow. Any ideas on how to correct this?
A:
There are several .air modification programs for download. One of them is AirEd.zip. Once you have it installed, you can assign it to always open files with the .air extension. Now just double click on the .air file and it will open up in the AirEd editor. This extracts most of the variables in the .air file, which is in binary format and lists them out in alphanumeric format. Scroll down the list to find "Landing Gear". Expand that and you have a list of landing gear values. Look for "Main Vertical" and "Nose/Tail Vertical". Increasing the values will "pull" the gear out of the runway. You may have to play with the numbers and see what happens. Save the file when you are done!
If you are doing this while FS2000 is running and the airplane is loaded, youwill have to select another airplane and then reselect the one that you are fixing to see the results.
