Default Nvidia Drivers

Hi

I have been on the Nvidia website and downloaded the latest driver for my graphics card version 8.16.11.9107

Windows update is now trying to update the driver but the version is 8.15.xx.xxxx why would windows try to update to an earlier version?

Well, if the update version you downloaded works fine, just dont accept the one from
windows update. Why would windows update your NVIDIA driver ?! is'nt that only a NVIDIA matter ? it never happened to me anyways.

HAVE A GOOD FLIGHT !

I've had that happen with ATi video cards as well. Not sure why Windows Update thinks it has the newest one. I just ignore driver updates from Windows Update, especially for video cards.

I have had windows update try and include a driver update in the "optional" updates available when it downloads automatic updates.I just never accept the optional stuff and get mine directly from nvidia.
