PLEASE reply to poll at the end.

One can remap button to control train but not the stick himself
so I wrote Joygame that allow you for exemple to brake with the stick and power up with your joystick's throttle:

JOYGAME 1.0 (W98 NT W2000)
***********
Joygame use low level driver (VXD) to send custom keyboard command while moving Joystick.

http://forums.flightsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3b7dbfb0347ba8c3.jpg

-Easy to install/use/configure.
-Can be used for ANY game (even for controlling window app)
-small, fast (no frame drop in MSTS)
-easy to share preset over the net (small size)
-if you provide a small image with the same name of your preset this one will be displayed in Joygame. (jpg gif or bmp)
-No shitware that can harm your computer: no DLL
nor files invading your computer's system.

http://forums.flightsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3b7dbfe034fdaf44.jpg

Easy to configure preset: you can switch from your game to Joygame, set a key than back, try... ect ect.
Joygame continue to send key even minimized.

here the "Edit" button panel: (key will be in your language)

click; press a key; Done !

The downside: 14$ shareware
***************************
Writing VXD driver is a pain I should buy very expensive tool
and cannot afford paying the license just for fun.
So sorry Joygame will be 14$. But I must be sure that some
are interested to buy it otherwise I wont release it (sorry again but I really don't have money)

POLL:
*****
-are you interested by such program ?
-will you buy Joygame 14$ ? (I don't need a promess here)

LAST EDITED ON Aug-18-01 AT 09:18AM (EST)[p]I might buy it, once I have heard what other people think of it.

$14 is about £10 (current rates) so if it is as good as you say - I would buy it.

1 question - how large will the download be?

Yes it work well I just played 1 hour at msts without touching the keyboard :-)

for now the whole directory with preset for msts , pictures and executable take less than 400ko I should also write the doc in HTML so I plan less than 700ko.

it will be shareware with limited time so one can try it out.

thanks for voting

I'd like to try it and if it works I'll register it. Where will it be available and when? Thanks, regards, Bob.

Joygame work now 100% for its purpose (I know I play hour at MSTS
with it :-)

todo list is:
1-protection code
2-doc
3-beta testing & bug correcting (if any)
4-buy the license of the tool used to access VXD driver
5-release

short delay: two week long delay: one month

4&5 will be done only if I can expect to have income that will cover more or less the price of the expensive tool license.
I know that I should advertise on other game board to expect
this income but
1: I hate that
2: I'm so bad in english that my advertising don't explain very well in short word and don't make the soft attractive.

do you have a so special configuration ?

It would be nice for me to find someone with TWO joystick connected cause Joygame can be launched two time
and I've included the option to manage two joystick as window can do.(at least it's into the programmer's doc)

But I only tested two instance with one joystick. it work.

I need the following in return for $14.00:

Must work with Win98SE

Must support joystick through sound card (my card is an ATI Rage Fury 128, and it works with Flight Sim 98)

Must support piece of junk joystick (PC Raider, InterAct Game Products)

It would expect it to work with a diesel throttle by advancing the throttle setting one notch per pull back (and release) on the joystick, and reduce the throttle one notch per push forward (and release) on the joystick. Multiple tugs in either direction would adjust the throttle a like number of notches.

With a steam locomotive, a continuous pull back on the joystick would advance the trottle (regulator) a continuous amount until the joystick was released, and same for reducing the throttle, much the way a continuous press of the D or A keys continuously advance or decrease the throttle.

Unfortunately, my joystick does not have the option of unspringing the centering feature, and I don't think I want to invest in another joystick to get an uncentering feature, if that's required for your program.

Otherwise, Pay Pal OK with you?
