I use DAP. I start the Dl and go to bed. With DAP you can set it to turn off the internet after it is done downloading. If you logout before the download is done, it has a bad habit of stalling. If you let it log you off due to no activity the download ususally doesn't stall

DSL and Cable Modem both work great. Cable modem is much faster that DSL. One or both may be available in your area. The cost is not that much more than paying $20 per month for AOL or some of the other brand name providers. Cable modem can download a 22 meg file in about 5 minutes.

LAST EDITED ON May-27-02 AT 09:24AM (EDT)[p]Bob,
Here in the Chicago area we have ATT Cable and I D/L via my cable service. Nice part of it is that it is fast and NO getting kicked off the line by incoming telephone calls as happens frequently with AOL! Something to think about if you have cable in your area. Take care!

cable and dsl are both faster than a modem , but check in your area if you have both available.
in my area dsl is three times faster than the cable that is available , but 5 miles up the road that is reversed....
good luck :-)
