Hi all. I am working on a Silverliner II for the NE corridor. Right now I have the body done and I am starting on the trucks. I'm not going to lie and say its going to be the greatest with "3D super animated XYZs" or anything like that, but it (hopefully) will be a reasonable representation of the real thing. It will be my first adventure into TSM.

That said, I need some good pics or diagrams of the trucks.

I also need info on pantagraph animation. I'm just getting into TSM so maybe I can firgure that out....maybe not. I didn't see any sort of tutorial on it there.

Lastly, what is the height of the wires on the NE corridor?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Gary

Never heard of Silverliners....do you mean Superliners? If so, to my knowledge they're too high for the catenary anyway (and if not...too high for the tunnels) but anyways.

My biggest advice would be to go to www.google.com and type in "Superliner pictures" or "Superliner dimensions". I never found reliable measurements online but Buzz has 'em. I tend to think of Buzz as the Jack Ryan to my John Clark! ;-)

I'll give Google a try. The Silverliners (aka PRR MP85, MP85a) are still THE local trains here around Philly. They are electric MUs that replaced the MP54 MU sets in the 1960s. They were built by a combination of Budd Co., St. Louis Car, and GE I believe. Its quite amazing that here they are close to 50 years old and their stainless steel still looks good!
