Hey guys,

As I understand Justin Cornell has done a very cool GP40-2 model. Has anybody been thinking of doing a 4 window GP40-2W? I'd be happy to skin it in CN if I can get my hands on a model. I'd do it myself but I find 3d modelling very dificult. I've got resource pics and things too.

Yeah...they're out there. You need to take a look at the versions of the GP40-2 at [link:www.dekorats.com/design/msts/|Dekosoft] for some great models of this in a bunch of different liveries. Each loco has a custom cab and tons of detailing. Check 'em out.

Will you be making a KCS GP40-2W also?

It's going to be released, yep, already got permission, based on the SDL39. I've been taking it easy lately and it's far from finished, so you might have to wait a bit.

BTW...made a new K5LA horn for most of my models...you'll probably hear it on this model when it is released, but I don't have permission...yet!

Might make a dynamic version.....

Yep....another GO Transit model :-)

Damn, I love your work Kurt! Take all the time you need, I want the finished product to be to the best standards before it's released!

P.S. Is the F59PH pack still in the works?

Actually, it helps to have some commotion about one of my things....it motivates me to finish it!!!

Yep, F59PH is still in the works, all I really need though, is some HEP generator sounds and permission to use NALW's sounds...

Take care!

It's good to hear about the F59PH again. For a second I thought you'd abandoned it due to a couple of MSTS trolls sculking about around here.... x( Hopefully the Geep will be out soon, then I can put it into CN! Yay!

One troll almost made me quit, yes.....

The GP40W has mapping based on Justin Cornell's first GP40 models...if you like, I can send you over the files....

Take care!

Hello Kurt;
You're go GP40-2W looks great! Seems like I've been waiting ages for a decent Go locomotive. Look forward to the release of your locomotive, keep up the good work.

Kurt, it looks great. If you need any more pictures, I can get you some. There is a Guilford line within 5 minutes of my house. I can get overhead as well as side and front views. When you post it for download, I would love to reskin it to Guilford.

Cool, when do you think #703 will be ready? I want CN units too! And if anybody is interested I have lots of pictures of Ex GO GP40-2W#703 with a few ex-CN GP40-2W units owned and operated now by Aberdeen Carolina and Western Railway in North Carolina. As well as pictures of my HO scale layout I'm still working on. I even have 2 CN GP40-2W Atlas locos. Hard to find those nowdays! http://namerifrats.20m.com/

Don't know exactly when #703 will be ready (got me self buried in other projects), but it will also come with Tri-Rail #904....

Right now, 703 needs work around the end 'pilots' - can't seem to get 'em to look right!

Take care!

Kurt
