LAST EDITED ON Jun-09-02 AT 11:50PM (EDT)[p]I have been running 3 of these on about 2100 trailing tons of fast merchandise freight, and it is a lot of fun. This is a great era for RRing, speed picked up and through freight became more common. I used to see these Santa Fe units frequently out in West Texas and New Mexico. Also, lots of UP SD24s in the late 60s. Often run as 3 or 4 units in front of fast freight, these were impressive trains from my youth. Usually a bunch of yellow orange reefers mixed in, quite unlike the Steam and GP7 locals full of cattle cars, from my earlier childhood. Brings back a lot of fun. Thanks for the nice work!!!
