Hi all,
A complete steam train from the fifties is ready for download.
Whatīs in the package:
- A steam engine class 64 "Bubikopf" DR, incl. lit cab at night
- A freight wagon G07 with 3 axles
Be careful, this wagon has no brakes!
- One logger car H10 loaded
- One logger car H10 empty
- Passangerviews from all brakemanīs cabs
- An activity, using all cars
I used again for quality reasons one 1024*1024 pixel texture (as with the BR50 and BR95). Those of you, having problems with an old graphic card will get a smaller file. Just drop me an e-mail.
I will be absent for two weeks now, please be patient in waiting for a reply.
Here are three screenshots from the new train:

Looks great. Where do we get this? I check the new files here several times a day. I don't see it in the Library. Where can I get it?
Thanks,

You'll find it at http://www.eurotrainsim.de/frameset_01.htm
It has also the excellent DB BR55 steamlocomotive.

Hi all,
Now itīs ready, my photorealistic Cab to suit perfectly the German class 64 "Bubikopf", uploaded earlier. As soon as Nels is ready, you can download it. Or, as André mentioned, if you canīt wait, just go to www.eurotrainsim.de. Itīs already there.
All necessary levers, gauges and handwheels move.
Three views (front, left and rear for shunting) are active.
Cab is based on the photos of a real class 64. Photos taken by Peter Reimer, Switzerland.
Get out of the cold (keys "2,3,4") and come inside the cosy warm cab and play with the levers.
Want a sneak preview?

Hello Julian,
you are so kind and I feel very honoured by your words. I never miss out any update screenshots of your production. Looking really forward to your narrow gauge locos. I am thinking to start as well in that arena soon. Always good to have a master walking in front.
Do you want me to tell you my secret why the models look better than the real world things?
3D Canvas uses now the stainless steel materials, the textures are no longer rusty. ;-)
Itīs a great program, istnīt it? You are using it as well.
There are at least two more class 64 to follow in real world museum liveries from Switzerland and Belgium.
Have a lot of fun and see you around.

Hi Adam,
thanks for your kind words as well. However, Iīd rather love to build more 3D steam locos. I was hoping many month now for somebody to build me a nice cab for my steam locos. In the end I simply had to build it myself. Thatīs why you see the results here.
It was great fun and I learned a lot.
Now the .sms files and the sound need still to be explored.
The trainsim still holds so many new working aspects in stock to keep brain and fun going.
See You.
Bernd

Adam, just a bit of steam let off from my side. YOU will be the sort of person that causes a few of us guys, that try our best to make something for the comunity FREE of Charge, to hang up our tools and venture into another Hobby all together. I've sent a picture of the cab to you after your begging.
BTW To be a beta tester does not make you a Helicopter Pilot. It is a Perk bestowed by a Designer. Anyway have a nice day.
Johan.
