Has there been any Military trains done yet??, I think it would be cool to have vintage WWII military trains like the German armored trains that carried the troops and railguns. Could it be done?

Someone made flat cars with tanks and/or jeeps on them. That's really about all you need, the passenger cars would have just been normal heavyweights and the locos would have been the average "Insert Road Name Here" steam/diesels. Try searching the file library, I remember seeing them in there.

BeeKay did a DR steamer with tanks on flat cars a couple of months back. It had a puller (front) engine and a pusher (rear) engine. Do a search for BeeKay uploads.

Hmm, don't the military have trains that run supplies back and forth on the battlefield? Or was that Civil-War era, and we have air-drops now instead of train-stops?

During the First World War, and the stalemate of trench warfare, there really were trains constructed to run on the battlefield. Typically, they were 60cm (2-foot) gage tank-style steam engines. Many were built by the French company Deucaville (sp?), but some were built by Baldwin or other American companies. The track was very lightly constructed, often of prefab sections like model railroad snap-track. There have been a couple of magazine articles and even a book written about it.
I believe the US Army still has a Baldwin-built 2-6-2T 60cm locomotive on display, possibly at Ft. Eustis?

You know, Burlington Northern in the 70's used to have an armored train they used to transport 'things' in and out of Rocky Flats in Colorado.

I'd like to see the Pullman troop cars of WWII. I am working on the N&W 2-6-6-4 Class A, which pulled them during the war, and I'd like to run them behind it when I finish. I'm not certain if any boxcars out there would be close enough in dimension to reskin. I'm fairly certain they had special trucks, though. So it would be a little more than a quick repaint of the body.

Might make an interesting theme for a MSTS route, but looks like just about all of the rolling stock will have to built from scratch.
