I've still got the rest of the logos and lettering to do, but I figured I'd post a picture of my work in progress anyway.

Unfortunately, I think you're going to find that, at least this is the case on the GP-38, that doing the NS skin isn't possible due to the way that Kuju did the texture mapping.
The NS stripe on the side goes over a place where the texture is repeated on the front left side of the loco and you get a patchwork-like look to the skin.

Yes, one thing I've found is that textures get repeated in very illogical places.

Well I've found that the texture for the rear of the long hood repeats on the rear of the air conditioner behind the cab so now there's a horse on the rear of the AC unit.

Looks great so far. What about shortening the length of the stripe a little -- would that be a solution.
Hurry--I need a REAL (NS) engine--I'm struggling with the MoPac 38. :)

Here's the latest screenshot. I just want to do a few more tweaks and then I'll zip everything up and make it available for download.

Ok I've uploaded a zip file to http://www.vlatitude.com/test/nsdash9.zip
Was going to release it yesterday, but I just got back from railfanning all day.

Brian has done excellant work thanks! I did have to change the .eng to make the loco show up so if you have problems check the .eng file. Brian may have fixed the .eng since then though but just a heads up.Keep up the good work brian. I hope we can get a high hood gp soon. I know that may require a new model to bring the nose up to the top even with the rest of the loco.

Yeah I fixed it this morning after I woke up and was checking things out. I included the wrong file in the zip file last night, but now it's been fixed.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-13-01 AT 07:58PM (EST)[p]What did you have to change in the ENG file to get it to show up? I'm running into the same problem where everything is installed but it doesn't show up as an option....
Thanks in advance..and BTW, great repaint...
