I was thinking of doing a SP -9, but I'm working on canadian stuff right now so I'm not sure how long it will be till I get around to it. SP is popular so you souldn't have to wait long.

An SP AC4400 is here at train-sim.com, while you can get a BNSF -9 from www.3dtrains.com (free). The Santa Fe version is also here at train-sim.com.

Oops, my mistake. The SP loco here is indeed a -9, just what you were looking for. I did a search for "southern pacific" and it popped right up.
