View Full Version : Error when creating new freight cars....HELP

I've created a beautiful repaint of the us2freight7.ace boxcar. I made a new .ace file, called it mdw.ace, renamed all the default us2freight7 files mdw.whatever, went into the .wag file and replaced every us2freight7 with mdw. When I go into the activity editor and try to load up my boxcar (which is visible as mdw), I get an error "failed to open texture file us2freight7.ace". What gives? I really want to get this car out to the people!!

The problem is that the .S file contains the mapping information for the model your repainting. Unless you made the model you can't change it. you have to use the default naming convention of the .ace file for the car you are repainting. Don't change the name of the .ace file. You can copy everything into a new directory and call it whatever you want. rename the files. And the name of the car. But don't change the name of the .ace files
