Route name; Milwaukee Road La Crosse Division. Milwaukee to Portage WI, circa 1950
Version- 1.0 beta, released June 3, 2003.

Description- This route represents the Milwaukee Road circa 1950. The mainline is all double track with directional ABS signaling. Milwaukee is represented with a large yard and the famous Milwaukee Shop complex. This was the Route of the Hiawathas.

Installation method- Route is packed as three zips. Creat a folder named "Watertown" in your route folder and unzip the files into it. Before starting MSTS delete the contents of the services and activities folders. I neglected to do this before running Route Riter.

Size of download- Three seperate downloads totaling about 60.

Freight or passenger-Both.

Era-1950 but can be used up until 1991 when CP single tracked this route. Can also represent an earlier era.

Location-Southern Wisconsin, Portage to Milwaukee

Length of mainline-90 miles

Branches-None currently. Will have two or three added in future updates

Number of sidings-5 or so passing sidings. Unknown number of industrial sidings. More industrial will be added.

Number of yards-3. One medium yard at Portage. One small yard at Watertown and a large yard at Milwaukee which is actually made up of several smaller yards.

Mixture of dual and single track-Mainline is all double track.

Level of trackside detail- Some areas fairly complete, others have little or none.

Amount of scenery completed-40%

FPS specs-Low of 8-9 in a couple areas with a TNT2 graphics card.

Activities provided-None unless you have the 1948 Olympian Hiawatha. As mentioned you should clear out the services and activities folders before running this. You will need to create an activity for this route UNLESS you have the Oly Hi.

Add in track and road sets- XTracks 3.5 AND Dualtracks, newroads.zip

No known problems, but it is a beta.

NOTICE: You must copy the ttype.dat from the USA2 route and copy it over the one included with the route. The ttype.dat included refers to sms files not included with the route due to the fact they are payware.

Can be downloaded from the trainsim library.
