Name of Route: Columbia Gorge
Version and Release Date: Version 1.00 released 1/31/2004
Description: This is a prototypical route set in modern time in the scenic Columbia River Gorge on the Washington/Oregon state line. This release runs from Wishram, Wa west to Hood, WA on the north side of the river and from Celili, OR west to a couple miles west of Hood River, OR.

Size of Download: 7 25mb files and 1 15mb file
Size of Installed Route: About 400 mb

Length of Mainline: 35 miles on each side of river, 70 miles total
Number of branches: One branch line (Mt.Hood Railroad) not completed in this release.
Number of Sidings: Six
Number of Yards: Three
Mixture of Dual and Single Track: 50/50
Level of Trackside Detail: High in populated areas. Sparse in open country.
Amount of Scenery Completed: 100%
FPS Specs, with qualifiers: Since this route was developed on a very low-end machine (Celeron 566 mhz) it is hard to estimate this. My fps is quite low (2-5). Much better on high-end machines.
Activities Provided: Since there are no signals in this release, there are no activities. However, there are about two dozen explore paths.
Non-Default Consists or Rolling Stock Required in Activities: Not applicable, see above.
Add-In Track, Road Sets: Xtracks 3.6 or later, Newroads 3.0 (Standard version) or later.
Tsection.dat file used: Standardized Tsection.dat, release 21 or later.
Payware or Freeware: Freeware

Known Problems: Two highway overpasses near east end of UP line are too low. A double-stack container car will not clear. The Mt. Hood Branch line is undeveloped, very rough track, sharp curves, steep grades, and no scenery. This branch will be fully developed in release 2.0.
