Name of Route - Tehachapi Pass II

Description - A follow up to the original TP route which now includes scenery and trainsets. Tehachapi Pass was built in 1876 by the Southern Pacific Railroad when they were seeking to construct thier own line out of California. The Tehachapi mountains is one of few routes still in operation today that follows much of the original line, a line that consist of several tunnels, horseshoe curves, and a loop that allows trains to cross over toip of themselves.

Packaging - Route comes on CD and installes by clicking on the set up icon.

Prototypical

Freight - only (after 1972), Freight and Passenger (before 1972)

Era - 1990's, around the time of the mergers

Location - Southern Ca., between Bakersfield and Mojave, and western portion of the Mojave desert.

Length - Kern JCT to Mojave, about 70 miles. Another 20 miles or so extend out from those points.

Length - of branches, about 10 miles

Branches - 4

Sidings - 7 passing sidings

Number of yards - 3

Dual/single track - About 60% single track

Fully complete with scenery
