Iam new at this so please bear with me.I guess Iam missing the boat(or train as it were) in Activites. All I want to do at this point is to change the Explore Route in Marias Pass so I run into traffic and also see static trains on the side and be able to switch sidings manually so I might be able to pick up cars or drop them off where I want. Can this be done? Kind of just want to wing it on the Explore Route.
Thanks
Jerry

I basically only use explore route. If you go into activity editor, under file select new,
select route then you get a box I just call it whatever.
Then go over to where it says player and select new.
It pops up service selector.
Under consist select new. It pops up the consist editor
then you can call your consist whatever. Then select loco's
and cars. I have made up 400 to 500 car consists. Start
at White fish yard. 500 cars will get you almost to Columbia
Falls. I generally cut off 75 car cuts from this and pull them down to the crossover at Columbia fall and shove them down
the other main about 200 cars, then stick another 100
where ever around Columbia Falls. Then I shove the last
100 back into Whitefish as they usually do not start at the
far end. After I get a path back to Whitefish then you can do what ever. Note that when you are connected to over 100 cars
its hard to control the mouse. You have to work with the mouse a little to get the coupler to disengage.

Once you the cuts broke up you can scatter cars all over the place. Till it gets dark. Then it gets tricky. But you can
use the Activity Editor and do this also, I havent got that far
messing with it yet. Too buisy constructing a route.

Hi,
You are not the only one who wants to do this.
"Sniper",who contributes a lot to this forum, provides the type of "unfettered" activity you are looking for on his PO&Nv5 route.
