A basic activity question

I'm learning to build an activity, using the Unterland 2.2 route.

I have my consist moving, and opposing traffic coming. I'm real pleased to have gotten this far. However I cannot get manual control of my switches. I want to get out of the way and let the AI go past but so far only head on collisions.

How do I gain control of the switches?

some switches are manual some are automatic. the manual ones have that switch bar, which you can see. to change your route direction you will have to design the route path with the editor, to go in and out of a siding, use the reverse arrow feature. good luck.
