Development of 'passenger' views the preserve of the train designer rather than cab design as the interior forms part of the train model. Good pictures though!

Great guess! You're right, they were taken in Santa Barbara.

i travel to santa barbara quite often on the San Diegan so I knew right away that it wasn't LV. but what i want to know is does Amtrak have a Talgo going to Las Vegas? i would believe that the coast starlight is transporting those cars to LA for the service, but that train is heading north, so i am very confused. anyone with info on the LV talgo. please let me know (so i can go up to Cajon to see it)

No talgo yet...it's been talked about for years though.

From what I understand, the LV Talgo is now only being used for the International Amtrak Cascades service (Vancouver BC-Seattle, WA), and the LV service will use Superliners or Viewliner/Amfleet cars. Also Amtrak decides to use the Talgo XXI sets, I don't think you'll be seeing the LV down there anymore....sorry guys.
