Hi folks !

Following: I wanted to make a cab but it wasnīt able to convert it to an ace-file, which could be used

in the cab-editor.

What īve I done:

1., creating the cab in Photoshop including an Alphachannel
2., fixing all layers to the background
3., changing size to 512x512pix which is the maximum size which tgatool2 can convert.
4., saving as tga or bmp file including Alphachannel
5., open tgatool2
6., load file; painted file and Alphachannel visible in the right windows
7., Export to *.ace; file īll be stored
8., opening cab-editor
9., option "new"
10., selfmade ace-files only visible as a white rectangle line

what Iīve done wrong ?

TgaTool2 will support all sizes of Ace if you have the updated MakeAce from MS. And "using updated MakeAce" ticked.

Cab views (or rather any non-square image or image larger than 512x512) are restricted by MakeAce to a 1 bit Alpha so whether you export Ace (Alpha) or Ace (-trans) you will get the same result (-trans)
