CABview tutorial

I'm new to the game, and you've probably already heard this a 1000 times. Can someone write a tutorial on building a cab from scratch? Defining the view windows, viewport, etc.?

As far as I know, no one has written a formal tutorial on how to make cabs. See the responses to the item "Help newbee" from Markus elsewhere in this forum for a general idea of what's involved. The process is somewhat tedious but not technically difficult.
