what do you guys say if I modify one of your Great Cabs that I could use with SD40s, this is for my personal use only. I know anyone may modify a file as long as the person plans to keep it to him self and does not uploads it, the thing it, I will have to ask another person for help on this. Still, this is for the PERSONAL use only, so that's that little small thing, so guys let me see what you have to say in there...

Hi Alex.

Chuck was going to answer this earlier as our 'Chief Cook and Bottle Washer' but he couldn't log on, so I thought I should put your mind at rest.

As you suggest, you are quite entitled to do whatever you want to our work provided that it intended for private use. I personally don't think that it matters if 20 people help you achieve this, just so long as it is not posted openly or sold :-)

Any desire to release these changes at large (for example via the internet) using NALW components would require the approval of the NALW team. Please feel free to show us the final product and ask for this permission if you so desire.

OK, on to the subject itself: Nothing wrong with the layout BUT (it is a big but) why are you using the GE cab controls on an EMD loco????? This is definitely wrong. It's a wonder there aren't 20 messages of rage posted here by the rivet-counters already - LOL!

Still you can do whatever you want in private, so I'm told :-)

PS NALW is planning a GP40P and it's associates so there will be an appropriate cab featuring new EMD style control mountings... The speedo on this unit is sitting on the control stand, too. It appears EMD stick parts anywhere when they make these things!

now that's a valuable piece of education there! :) thanks, it helps. I though it may also serve me a "generic" purpose.

no such desire, not even sharing by email. I did a couple of flightsim files back in 98/99 but never uploaded it, what's mine is mine, so you can feel safe with me :) And besides that, I have too much respect for NALW I'd never give the team any headache.

but I'd rather have your GP60 cab first, and why don't you guys do an SD40 cab? It'd be much better that way, you have knowledge of the real thing and you have knowledge of how to make it in TS, I'd rather go for your cab instead, but you guys are getting a little lazy there, what is the trouble with such a little cab like that? :)

well, that's basically all that

Wouldn't you prefer an SD60 and a GP40? Though this one is way down the track yet...
