I have just uploaded Sam Spade's most recent creation! A very weathered SW1200 cab that would be usable on most if not all of the SW series...
BEHOLD THE POWER OF THE 'ROO!
(er kangaroo for us yanks)!
( I always wanted to say that ever since I saw RioGrandeDude's signature... I liked it and wanted to paraphrase(steal) it! LOL!)

All I can say is...WOW! Can't wait to put that in my EMRR SW1200.
I do have one question though. Does smoke come out of the stacks as per the passenger view cab, or will limitations in MSTS not allow this?
Don
man! them dudes made it happen again!
<<Does smoke come out of the stacks as per the passenger view cab,>>
passenger view is a "virtual view", just like you see the smoke sitting in virtual cab
the problem I wanted to mention last time the preview was posted is that even though the cab can be used with most SW's, the 900s and 1200s we HAVE available in TS come with rectengular look-ahead windows, I hoped there would be 2 versions of this cab. But I don't mean it is a big deal, this is great the way it is. And keep it going dudes! :)

Thanks Johan! I'm sure Sam will appreciate the compliment when he wakes up and gets around to reading it! Australia is a little out of sync with us here in the states and even with you guys down there in The "Other" USA......

To everyone who has asked, no, MSTS does not want to show the exhaust smoke from the cab view. You don't seem to see stack exhaust from the steam engines either????

Thank you for your kind words, Johan.
This cab was made because quite a number of people kept asking me to make one and they sent me all these pictures and stuff!
Say, I was wondering what engines you have over in your part of the world? Is there anything special that hasn't been made in MSTS yet? I am just curious about the trains you have.

Chuck, great stuff, I see Sam has awoken?
Sam, regarding your question about the Locos and trains in our part of the world. It is very difficult to obtain a lot of pictures and other relevant drawings, etc. on the Web. A person really has to approach the Railway Head-office and/or Depots where the Locos are stored.
As far as I could find out, it looks as if there is only two South Africans into MSTS??? I've posted a request for South Africans to make themself heard, but nothing.
The relevance of the paragraph above is....." We have NO-ONE to make any South African Locos or Rolling stock" :'(
I had the opportunity of a visit to one of our Diesel Depots and taken quite a number of shots of the various different Classes of Diesel Locos. Side views, Top views, Front views, various Details etc. I've also obtained Line Drawings of them. These and the photos, can be used by some-one who, would be so "Great" as to do Locos and stuff, which does not actually pertain to his/her Country, but for the LOVE of TRAINS.
Sam, hopefully one day, a "SAR" or "Spoornet" Loco and Rolling stock will appear. I'm unfortuanately a bit on in years, thus to try and learn 3D Canvas or TSM or even Studio Max, might be beyond me.
I have posted a while ago some Pics of our Steam Locomotives and in the Cab Designers Forum under the heading..." I've done this for the fun of it ", I've posted a picture of our Class 37 Diesel Locomotive. ( This is under the reply to myself ;-) )
If you know of any-one who would like to attempt a SAR Diesel Loco, Please E-mail me and I will forward some of the Photos and Drawings to him/her.
Regards and keep it up,
Johan.
according to pic Johan once posted it looked like a unit by EMD specifically modified for export.
BTW, I took a short ride on ATSF 1200 with new 1200 cab and Alco S4 sounds, the cab left me happy. Now guys if you'd only remind me what you said the deal with Alco RS series cab was??

Yes! I wanted to thank you again for posting those, but I couldn't find the original post when I went searching. I must have done something wrong in the search query. Never mind, you found them! No-one has complained the left hand view is not the same version cab so that is good!
Thanks again and if you have anything else of interest you know where to leave 'em!

Thanks - again - for your contributions to the Trainsim community. The SW1200 is so good I hate to ask, but I'm so new at this, I don't want to miss out on something due to an ignorant mistake. I don't see any red or white needles on the air pressure gauges.
Are they in the model or am I doing something really stupid on my end?
Thanks

Mark, are you asking about the picture in this thread or on your PC?
If above, this was just a mock-up. If 'inside' your version of MSTS then, yes, you are probably doing something stupid. :-) - LOL - sorry, couldn't resist.
The brake gauges use the default gp38 ace files, aliased to their default location as set up by MSTS. If you cannot see these needles then I am tempted to think that you have moved the gp38 cabview files to a non-default location. You need to ensure that all the default MSTS equipment is located in the default folders.

OK OK I asked for it. LOL x(
All my cab and sound files are aliased to common folders. I can fix it now. Thanks!
