At last it's completed, or, is it ????
The Cab is now ready for upload, only one snag though, I await the verdict from Alex, who's valuble input is greatly appreciated. I also would like to thank the Great folks at NALW, who supplied me with their knowledge of the Cab warning lights.
P.S. I've installed Tracksignals for assistance along the Route. Naughty but nice. }>
This Cab was made, then dismantled, then again made, then deleted, again made, then a major harddrive crash with it ( Cab ) totally destroyed, then again made, abolished, then again made.....??????? Now the verdict?
Any-one out there? Please give me your honest opinion??

Thanks, Sam. Alex replied and mentioned that I have do another small mod prior to uploading. Hopefully towards Friday?
I also would like to say "Thanks" to the other few Simmers that took the initiative to reply with their comments. I'm sure that Sam and all other model makers, would agree, that it's nice to hear some comments. After all, we spend time to make something for every Train Simmer to enjoy, so please spend a bit of your time, to let us know how you feel.

The state of the Cab at this moment in time is OK for uploading.
I must apologise for the delay, but this time my harddrive has failed ( Crashed ) completely and with it the Cab. I had to get another drive and the Computor Boffins at the shop managed to rescue only a few Data. One of it was luckily the cab. I will upload it tomorrow night S. African time.
Thanks for the interest in it.

Hi Chuck, Yeah thanks. It's a disasterous feeling, when you fire up the Box and instead of Booting up, it only makes funny noises at you. Anyway, I've decided to leave the American Cabview scenenario to the experts that really know their stuff.
I'll maybe from time to time make a Steam Cab, if so desired, further am I assisting in a very small way, a South African artist, Jonathan Cronje, who took it upon himself to make a S. African 37 Class diesel Locomotive for MSTS. It is coming on very nice and I must say that,I'm really chuffed for his sake.

Finally made it to the Upload section of the File Library. I've uploaded the thing this afternoon SA time.
It's free for every-one who cares to want it.

Is it me, or my age but why is the cab so blurry?? It is hard to read the gauges and you cannot read hardly anything. Just wondering if it is my age. Anyway just about anything is an improvement.

Thank you, Johan. I have been looking forward to getting this one.
Sorry to hear about the computer crash - something we all dread, I think.

Sam, the pleasure is mine and I must also thank you for allowing me to use the Sand/Slip Panel.
Jack, I had to shrink the gauges. I do not have any gauges which is absolutely clear and the correct size. If you have any, please replace the ones that i've installed.

Best one I've seen so far. Does it have a view out the rear cab window? I'm ready to replace the sick MSTS mess. This one has
the best view out the front cab window I've seen so far.

Thanks, NWWABASH. No unfortunately, does the existing MSTS not allow the view via "Fwd and Aft" windows in the same Cabview....simultanously.
Enjoy it as is at present. ;-)

I tried that and could never get it to my satisfaction, I always felt that I was sitting in a hole. If you do change the position you will lose some of the graphics at the bottom of the screen.
That said and done you open the cvf file in the cabview folder in WORDPAD and you will see line called position followed by four sets of numbers. The numbers are the placement of you "eyes" so to speak. I think the techdocs have what they are for. You can play with those till you get as close as you want.

it's horrible from a realism standpoint, but I'll have to say it is good!Robert Learmont, Future and Current BNSF Engineer ( I have driven a locomotive but I am only 11 and 11/12 years old.

Robert,
I'm utterly fluttered by your GOOD comments. This cab has been done more than a year ago and if you don't like it, just leave the thing where it is. NOT on your harddrive.

Nicely done, but where's the smell and scuff marks on the heater box from my feet when "reclining" behind a red board! (just kidding)

Jrhmem,
This here Cab is the first version and has been updated even as far as version3, which you will find in the File Library. Do a search.
I'm way off this now, as I'm doing more complicated stuff.
Regards,
Johan.
