I have a integrated cpu(CPU, monitor, speakers all in one unit),
and those speakers thats with it isnt cutting it. It has a external headphone jack and two USB ports. And I have a nice sounding home stereo unit with two aux. jacks. What would I have to do to run sound from the cpu to the stereo. Is it possible? I have that cpu set aside only for MSTS, and thats all
I do with it. I would appreciate your help.

No problem, just use a stereo mini plug, (like on your headphones into the headphone jack) to two way RCA plug adapter. You can get one of these atRadio Shack. Run it from the headphone out, to any line input on your receiver. This could be CD, Tape In, VCR in or DVD in, just not phono in. Set the volume on your computer at about 20% to start, so you don't blast yourself out of the room, and set the stereo to a normal comfortable listening level point. If it plays too loud or soft, set the computer level up or down.

It's just a cable that has the same plug as a headphone on one end, and a right left pair of RCA plugs on the other. RCA plugs are the same thing you hook other things into the back of your stereo receiver with.

I'm using the same type of cable to go from the line out on the back of my sound card to a 100 watt per channel stereo. Here's how the ends look;
