I'm trying to edit a .sms file to make the dynamic brake sound on my train loop(fade in and out) instead of being constant..Could someone tell me how I would go about doing that?

loop(fade in and out) ?
Constantly fade in and out, or just once each time the dyn brake is applied?

Constantly in and out..I just get one long brake sound; friend of mine says the dynamic brakes are supposed to "spool" on and off, repeatedly..

Looking at the Dash9 sms the dyn brake sound is a continuously looping single file that is pitch shifted to simulate higher application levels. Looking at the .wav file the sound is already faded in and out, and there are no que points for internal looping to be done. Tried it in the sim and it does fade in and out! Try swapping the file you have for the dash9 one!

The dynamic brake sound is a replication of the DB blowers and fade in and out in direct proportion to the back EMF of the traction motors. This back EMF is displayed a amperes on the cabs ammeter. The sound does not spool in and out if the ammeter needle is stationary. It should spool higher as the back EMF increases and drop off in proportion to the ammeter dropoff.
