Distorted sound!

I just switched over from on-board sound to a Creative Labs 3-D PCI sound card, Now all my MSTS sounds are distorted!!! Sound on every other program is perfect, (including all the planes in Flight Sim). Yes...I did turn off the on-board sound. Anyone have any ideas for a fix? This is so weird!
