I was just standing beside the train yard here, listening to a train go by with 4 units on the front (one winterized GP40, one GP38 Hi-Nose, two plain GP38's), and when it started getting up to speed (jeez, must've been hauling 80 cars, Notch 7, NO smoke), it sounded more like an SD40, with a rumbling/whining turbine noise added to it..Then again, this is in Maine, most of the default locos are on the other side of the US; maybe the railroad up here has a couple overhauled units (these four had brand spanking new paintjobs, bogies (sp?) weren't even rusty)..

Hauling cars is fun; but crashing them is even better.
