Wav Files GP-9, 38, 40

If someone can explain the recipe for enclosing files in
the message then I will post them. I have recorded the
GP-9, 38 and 40 sounds in throttle positions idle thru run 8.
I made them about 6 sec's. I would like to post them up
for use. Maybe someone will beat me getting these working.
I'm not interested in the credit just good sound.
I'm sure if we all put our heads together we can get the
sound issues resolved in MSTS.

If you want a real laugh listen to the GP-20 sound that
Abacus uses. Sounds just like an Alco. I have no idea
what the F9 sound is. I can't believe they go to all the
work to get everything right and leave the sound a mess.

I am hoping your sounds get used as well!!! Don't give up!! SOMEONE will help ya!! I wish I could for sure!! i am still trying to get a good CNW dash-8 and dash-9 (same as CSX) plus standard CNW horns!!

As soon as I get home this afternoon, I will write SMS files and get them working.

Just a quick suggestion! Take our SD40 sms files and make a seperate copy and substitute your wav samples for the original SD40 wavs... Be sure you are using stereo for the interior samples and mono for the exterior samples....

The problem with using your SD40 sounds is that these new ones have separate recordings for each throttle position instead of the pitch-shifting used by the default engines and the SD40 sound set. It should be able to work very well, but writing these SMS files is starting to be confusing as hell. I'm going to keep going, though, until I get something that works. I need to come up with a more systematic way of doing this....

OOPS I meant the GP40 package which does use a full set of waves.

Well, the GP40 sound set HAS .wav files for all nine throttle positions. However, I still need to write my own SMS as the GP40 sound set only USES six of them in its SMS.
