I tried copying over the gp_ and xgp_ wav files and it did not
work. The sound is very distorted and it is overlaying some
of the throttle positions with partial msts gp38 sound. Must be comming from the main sound file out in the directory with the routes. I mad the wav files 8 bit mono which keeps the size
around 200k.

I am going to upload gp38wav.zip to the file section sounds
directory. This is going to take some effort to get
the correct sound for each throttle position.

Please be aware that MSTS only supports two sound file formats.
Mono files should be 16bit mono, signed, at 11025hz. Stereo files should be 16bit stereo, signed, at 11025hz. Any other formats will play distorted. It is possible to play other frequency .wav's by frequency shifting them in the .sms config, but this seems an unnecessary complication to me. The exception being if you only have mono original recordings at 11025hz which can be frequency shifted by 50% to play correctly in 'stereo' conditions.

I shall redo the wav files 16 bit 11025 hz and try this.
