A Baldwin With Trolley Poles

LAST EDITED ON Jun-05-02 AT 10:53PM (EDT)[p] Due to several requests, we will add trolley poles to our
VO-1000. This of course will come after we finish the VO-1000. I know that Pacific Electric(Southern Pacific) used them, but I do not know if any other electric lines used them or something similar. Is there any one else interested in this?

Good stuff. I believe that these locos were fitted with trolleypoles to trip the signal contactors on the wire. There was a rumour that some SP steam locos were fitted with a pole on the cab roof, but this seems to be an unsubstantiated one.

I'll add that loco to my collection when it arrives.

Portland Traction had 2 GM SW-1's with trolley poles to trip the signal contacts on the trolley wire. I've even heard of some line that had cabooses equipped with trolley poles for the many backing moves required, but can't remember the details.

Well, despite some recent set backs I have managed to get this done in the last few hours. There is still a long way to go, but I think we will have it done during the next month or so.
