The end of a 40 year run in New York City

With R142s on the 6, R142As on the 2 and 5, and R62As from the 6 on the 7, the days of the redbirds are numbered. These cars are the oldest, most colorful, and most famous cars on the system. They are the last IRT cars with an accesable window in the front (R62/R62A windows have been closed off) and the last with "straps"(these were metal). Sad to see them go. :-( :'(
