Traction Addicts:

Along with the Chicago Aurora & Elgin Caboose for Gary's "Roaring Elgin" route, I uploaded the Mesaba Railway McGuire-Cummings Snowsweeper and a 'Generic' (no name) version with the trolley pole set for 20 feet. Tomarrow I'll upload the generic sweeper set for 19-1/2 foot wire.

Also in the works are a waiting shed for the Mesaba route, and a set of new line poles and an early high-tension tower.

Below are scenes of coming at-tractions.....

Hi,

Wow, it is looking great Tim! Nice snow-sweeper. The tramway company in Amsterdam has such a vehicle. A McGuire. Now it is preserved.
And the waiting shed is a nice one too.
Thanks for all your great work.

You're welcome, Dick!

I'm having too much fun making these things.
The Oregon Electric Railway Historical Society has a Mcguire, which is currently under restoration. It's the oldest piece in their collection, 1899, originally from The East-Side Railway Company- the first true interurban line in USA. The last time I saw this car it was covered in blackberry vines and in horrible shape. I'm happy to see it coming back to life.
The picture below is from the OERHS: http://www.trainweb.org/oerhs/oerm.htm

Cheers!

I got to thinking, and decided I better do the Portland Traction 1455, since I'm doing that route. So, after a little bit of trouble and a new body, here it is *almost* ready for uploading:
