If you look very close in this pic you may see a Green Mountain RR freight working its way up Marias Pass.

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk... :D

It is done with only the change of one word...

Two disadvantages: it can only be activated in yards, and if you go outside of the train's sound range, you will lose the train's sound completely, even if it did 70 MPH right by you at 5 feet away...

However, you have complete and full control of the camera!

Unfortunately it is my time to retire for the night, so I can't show you the spectacular views I get on some railroads... this Amtrak train from the mid-80's on the PO&N shall suffice for now...

actually:

1. Open up CAMCFG.dat with WordPad
2. Look for the line "camera ( CamTypeSpotter"
3. Under that, you will see CamType ( CamTypeSpotter CamControlRotate )
4. Change "CamControlRotate" to "CamControlFull"
5. Test it out in the sim - use the arrow keys to move all about.

by doing this when in the #4 view you can zoom out very far away, to a certain extent.
