I thought the screen shot forum could use some more Canadian Content.
Here are a few shots from CPR's Laggan Sub, near Banff.

VIA Rail Canadian makes its way towards Union Station through heavy fog blowing in off of nearby Lake Ontario.

Oh might as well add one myself.
Its 1994, and the lease units abound.

I decided to go out rail fanning in the fog this morning...
Caught 3 CN freights.
I got to go in the cab of the 4799! :D
One was a CN chmical transfer(I got a cabride to the chemi plant an back with emptys!) which had a meet with a GT/CN Auto train. Then I saw 2 CN(Ex: IC sd40-2's) leading an empty intermodal.
All shots are on the Ohio Rail route(yet another route taken over by CN :) ) Using Sky conductor2.

That is the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal ( possibly Toronto-London ) Route
I only get to work on it about 3 hours a week so progress is very slow. I am actually in the midst of debating over the abandonment of this route.
I will start it again, BUT with more than myself working on it. This is ALOT of ground to cover for one person...............the mre the better !!

Still one of my favourite models, Gaetan's MLW636.
I put the unused second exhaust parameter to use on these units, making them even smokier.

I was wondering exactly, how did you make the exhaust darker? How would I be able to do this? Thanks.
Steve.

This probably shouldn't be in the screen shot forum but I'll risk the wrath of the mod.
Since MSTS only allows two exhaust parameters you can only do this on models with one exhaust.
It only darkens it up a little so it you might not find it worth the effort.
I just add another exhaust line into the ENG file, slightly offset in position from the first one.
Original ENG lines:
Exhaust1
(
0.09784 5.00 -3.1
0 1 0
0.085
)
Added lines:
Exhaust2
(
0.09784 5.00 -3.09 <-change the 'z' value
0 1 0
0.085
)
I haven't experimented with the change in the z value much, I doubt it makes much difference.
If you change it too much the exhaust column will start to look funny.
Here's a screenshot afterall, maybe I won't get yelled at. ;-)

The one on the left is the original, one exhaust eng file. Not much difference, but what the heck, it's free.

Hey Grant
Where did you get the trailer on wheels car that pulled by a single CN unit?? From the file library of Train-Sim or you created the cars.. I don't think I have seen them in the file library myself and hope that you can tell me the name of the file is located in the file library of Train-Sim.
Thankyou
John

The shots on this thread are fantastic. They have a nice "magazine" picture composition. Keep 'em coming.

Grant,
I'm just curious which cab/loco that first shot is from? I LOVE the Chiquita sticker on the dashboard! :D

The Roadrailers are from the train-sim library. Try a search for CN roadrailer, I'm sure that will find them. I had a problem with missing ace file but I just copied and renamed another ace file in the package. Seemed to work ok.
The first shot is from the sd70 by 3dTrainStuff. I removed their plaque and stuck a banana sticker on the dash. A few more and it will look like my truck. :)
