For all interested in multiplayer sessions on the CSX M&M Sub, we're trying something a little different. We're using Yahoo Groups to keep track of all current players as well as to have an up-to-the-minute seniority roster. We feel like this is the best way to go about keeping everything fair while still giving everyone a chance to play.

Breaks down like this:
Visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/csx_mm/ and have a look around.

If it looks like something interesting to you, join the group. This is how we get emails around rather than having to fish for everyone on the TS.com forum. We'll be using this forum to post our sessions, so we're still very much involved with TS.com. If you'd just like to play and not get involved in the seniority roster that'd be fine, but be advised that those who are involved get first dibs on trains. We feel like the dedicated folks who have shown up and run trains consistently should be rewarded. If we start getting lots of members on the roster, obviously we'll have folks "tied" in seniority. In that case, we'll either go with a gentleman's agreement or (if that fails) first come, first served. When taken all together, this should be the most fair and most FUN way to run.

If you do join the seniority roster, please drop me or Lee an email so we can update the database. Also, once anyone completes a run we need to know for the same purpose.

Questions will be answered in this thread....I hope I've made this all clear, but lord knows I can be dense sometimes!

I signed up for the list so that I can stay informed but I would also ask that you continue to post in this forum your session announcements or send me an email so I can add the session to the monthly calendar.

You can put me on the seniority roster.... two trips made to date...

Thanks!

Yeah we'll post our sessions in here as well...it's just easier to keep track of seniority offsite rather than using bandwidth here. Right now we're looking good...9 folks so far in the database, more to come I'm sure.

We're looking into possibly having a session tonight. Not sure what Lee is doing so if we don't hear from him within a couple of hours we may claim a free TeamSpeak public server (or maybe someone will let us use theirs tonight) and have an informal session with myself or someone else DSing. We'll see....if something materializes I'll start a new thread.

We ought to get a conductors and engineers extra board. Also during a MM multi player, the dispatcher should act as a crew caller and call or assign a person a train due to a seniority date (or sign up date) Also to make it more realistic, one should be able to "bid" in on certain trains such as locals, yard jobs, etc. One day we'll really play msts "as real as it gets". Also can I add some of you guys to my yahoo messenger??

Sounds like a good plan...after we get this going for a bit we'll see if we can incorporate a lot of that.

I'm never on yahoo, but if you have AIM my nick is the same as it is on the forums so feel free to IM anytime.
