Don't go off flamming me over asking if they has been asked before.

I was just wondering, how does this multiplayer thing work and what is required to play?

Don't worry about asking this. I didn't really figure out this multiplayer thing til last week after talking to Lee Kinnamon (sorry if I mis spelled your last name Lee) and others on a free lance M&M session.

The only thing required are the routes and the teamspeak player which is free and available online. Basically you 'sign up' for a train for one of the multiplayer sessions, build it in ConBuilder and then run it in explore mode on the route being ran. The teamspeak comes in for talking to the dispatcher and other trains as needed. You don't see the other trains so you have to use your imagination for that. We try to follow all railroad rules as closely as we can to keep as real as we can.

It's fun. Give one a try if you can.

Thanks for the input Jonathan. I'm going to have to give this a try one time. Sounds like alot of fun :)

Jonathan,

You spelled it just right. And I agree with you. No one should ever worry about being flamed in here, as this is a great group of serious railroad enthusiasts who simply want to have a good time making runs as realistic as possible!

Drifton, check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/csx_mm/ for a special group devoted to CSX operations on the M&M Sub route and CSX in general.

Only reason I asked to not be flamed was because I have been many times when asking questions. LOL...

Thanks for the input as well Lee!

Hello,
So do you need a microphone? When you sign up for a route, they tell you the IP address and then you type it into teamspeak? Is that right?
