Hey, I will be holding a session for the East River District on
June 5, 2004 at 8:00PM eastern time. The dispatcher is TBA. If you

I`ll probably be a SD70M with two other helper that will hall a eastbound coal train. Starting in Bluefield/ track: Bluefield 4.
The train will be about 40 cars long. End at Walton.

ns usaly runs number than letter in their symbols and coal trains are usally three numbers like 861 loaded coal train and an 863 empty coal train

1. NS: a. 861 eastbound Starting in Bluefield track 5, ending
at Walton
b. 863 westbound Starting at Walton and ending at Bluefield
c. 295 autorack eastbound Starting at Robinson and ending at Bluefield
d. 865 Mixed Frieght Starting at Bluefield ending at Prineton.
e. Amtrak Passenger Train starting at bluefield and making stops at all stations with platforms.

Dispatcher Notes for East River Session Tonight
1) Right-hand running on all double-track.
2) Main Line (primary double track) will be CTC. Please OS your train ONLY at the following named control points: (This route does NOT have any mileposts so please observe CP Names carefully... F6 key ON!)
* Clinch Valley Jct.
* W. Bluefield
* Bluefield
* E. Bluefield
* Blake
* Oakvale
* Kellysville
* Princeton (Deepwater Jct.)
* West Glen Lyn
* Glen Lyn
* Robinson
* W. Pearisburg (pron.: "Parisburg")
* E. Pearisburg
* Potts Valley Jct.
* Pembroke
* Belspring
* Cowan
* Walton Jct.
* Radford
* Walton
3) Princeton Branch will be dispatched by verbal authority. Please have pencil/paper handy!
4) Refinery/Potts Valley secondary main will be dispatched by verbal authority, again p/p handy....Note that Potts Valley Jct. is CTC and all signals are absolutes!!!
5) Do not pass the following points without DS authority:
* Clinch Valley Jct. (eastbound only)
* Walton Jct. (westbound only)
* Potts Valley Jct. (both directions, secondary line only! This is a controlled junction!
* W. Pearisburg (westbound from PV Secondary)
GENERAL GUIDELINES
OS your train thus: "Q902, clear West Pearisburg. Q902 Out." Nothing else is necessary (no speed, etc.)
Please switch off "voice activation" and keep on-air traffic to a minimum.
Report you initial line-up (lead unit, # of cars, length, caboose, and conductor's name), starting location, and direction of travel by TEXT MESSAGE. Initial clearance will be given by TEXT MESSAGE. Do not depart your intial station without a WRITTEN CLEARANCE.

Train Routings
These two trains did not have a direction specified, so DS perogative applies! LOL
CSX Q189 -- EB from Clinchfield at Clinch Valley Jct. to Radford
UP Autorack -- WB from Walton to Hale
Additional loaded and empty coal trains are possible.

It is avalible in the library. Do a search in the route section and type in "Norfolk Southern" It should be there.
