So, will it be possible someday for two or three people, to run two or three separate engines, on the same train, at the same time, like an internet game? Or will it be possible for two people to be on one locomotive at the same time? All over the interent?
I am confused, I need to do some reading.
Thanks,

As far as I know, No. I did the 589 Intermodel on the Kicking Horse
Pass v2.0 last night and it was basicly like the same thing only
with people talking to you and stuff. All you do is drive your train
and other people drive their train.

How do I activate the multiplayer mode of MSTS ?
I thought there were none ? Or does a patch exist ?

There is no true multi-player mode. We are simulating multiple trains by running over the same route controlled by a dispatcher... imagination is a good thing!

Train Artisan (www.trainartisan.com) says they will be producing their own train simulator. They were working with M$ on MSTS2 until that project was cancelled. They allude to a multiplayer capability in their simulator, but it may only be limited to having a fireman in the cab with you.
I think it would be cool to have a brakeman and conductor on the caboose, especially if the route/activity takes place in the steam era. Wouldn't it be fun to be a brakie hopping across the top of the cars and setting brakes when the engineer blows the whistle for them?
Hopefully future sims will have more in-depth multiplayer modes!
