Its time to run on one of the best freeware routes around, with a MP to be held on the fantastic Illinois Northern 2.0 route, available to download here at train-sim.com.
Never heard of or seen the IN 2.0? Well the IN is a flat route, making for some fast running. It is 80 miles long, and full of awesome scenery and detail. Countless towns and cities dot the landscape, as does 74 grade crossings, so make sure you have a lead unit with a horn you REALLY like!
The IN route is not only a high speed frieght route through the NW Illinois landscape, but it is also a commuter and passenger route, with nearly 2 dozen stations along the way, and it is also ideal for "locals" with lots of industries.
Becasue this is a fantasy route of sorts, any road name will be accepted, as any road name fits in.
I would like to have 1 commuter train, working north or south, it doesnt matter, plus a assortment of frieghts. Sign up below, and we'll see you next Sunday.
